Lela E. "Nana" Coleson age 84 of Mount Pleasant and formerly of Fairfield died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Lela was born February 6, 1933 at Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Oral and Fern Kleinhan Fitch.
She grew up in Mt. Pleasant. She married Donald B. "Dutch" Coleson on September 3, 1955 at the Christian Church Parsonage in Fairfield. Lela lived her entire married life in Fairfield.
She worked at J.&.B. Plastices and Plexco , both in Fairfield for 35 ½ years. She moved back to Mt. Pleasant in 2006.
She is preceded in death by her husband on January 3, 1994, her parents and 1 brother Leo Fitch.
Surviving are he daughter Linda Burden of Mt. Pleasant, 3 granddaughters; Kelly ( Kurt ) Hand, Melissa Meyer and Amanda Kula. 5 great grandchildren: Kendra and Kevin Hand, Kyler Meyer and Kaylee and Peyton Kula and 1 great grandson Kade Hand.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Chris Carr officiating.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral service.
A memorial has been established for a bench to be placed at Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
