Obituary – Fairfield

Donald Lee "Butch" Pottorff, age 75 of Phoenix, Oregon and formerly of Fairfield died at his home.
He was born in Fairfield on March 12, 1942, the son of Donald and Ila Mae Steele Pottorff.
Butch grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1960.
He served in the Company D, 224th Engineer Battalion in Fairfield before he served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force in Viet Nam. He and Jemie Perle Pottorff shared almost 40 years of marriage.
Butch had served as a Baptist minister and later was a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hearing from several of his high school buddies.
He is survived by his wife Jimie, 3 daughters: Gail Bryson and Christie Hyde , both of Claremore, OK and Regan Clark of Nantucket, MA., 5 grandchildren and his 2 aunt and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 28th at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield with Pastor Herb Shafer officiating, with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
A memorial fund has been established to be determined later.
Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
